This 9-mile trail winds through Bay Mills Indian Community and offers glimpses of Lake Superior's shoreline, connecting Bay Mills, Brimley Township, and Brimley State Park.
Named after Ojibwe Chief Shingabawassin, the multi-use path welcomes hikers, cyclists, and runners through diverse terrain ranging from easy lakeside stretches to moderate woodland sections.
The trail incorporates portions of the North Country Trail and provides access to historical landmarks including the Iroquois Light House.
